Treating Facial Spider Veins with Elos® Plus Treatment

Treating Facial Spider Veins with Elos® Plus Treatment

Spider veins or vessels on the face are tiny, red or purple, threadlike injured capillaries or veins that are usually harmless, but may be unsightly and embarrassing. They can appear anywhere on the face, especially under the eyes and around the nose. According to the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, about 55 percent of women in the United States have these particular veins as well as many men.

Spider veins usually develop from venous deficiency when blood flows backwards in the vein and causes pressure on the vein walls, but they can be caused by trauma such as scrubbing the face too hard, especially around the eyes. Fortunately, Elos® Plus is an effective treatment that may reduce the appearance of spider vessels.

Spider veins on the face are not actually broken veins, they are enlarged veins due to inflammation, heredity, sun damage, rosacea and pregnancy. They may also be caused by wind damage and temperature extremes. The veins may be more prominent after strenuous exercise, drinking alcohol, blushing or drinking hot drinks.

Elos® Plus is innovative technology that combines bipolar electrical energy and optical laser technology in various combinations to rejuvenate the skin deeply and gently. It generates the production of collagen and elastin deep in the skin to remove spider veins, smooth wrinkles, tighten sagging skin and remove age spots and other types of pigmentation.

Elos® Plus targets the defect in the skin and does not affect the surrounding skin. This means there is not much discomfort involved. During a consultation with our expert, your skin condition may be examined, and depending on your issues, you may learn the number of sessions you need to reach optimum results. After completing the course of treatment that is best for you, there may be no need for maintenance treatments.

This treatment requires no recovery time. You can continue your daily routine immediately after the treatment. It is important to use an SPF 30 or higher sunscreen to protect the treated area during the course of the treatment and for at least one month after the last treatment.

You may be a good candidate for Elos® Plus treatment if you have spider veins on your skin. As a bonus, it may also improve the appearance of enlarged pores, rosacea, wrinkles and sun or age spots. As these defects are removed, you may also see your skin tightening and becoming firmer and more radiant.
